Usually, for a popular brand’s sample sale I can understand the high price points. But at the Vivienne Westwood sample sale, the quality did not match the price points. The sale featured mens and women’s apparel, shoes, and accessories. When walking through the apparel racks, I noticed that a large number of the women’s pieces were wrinkled and misshapen. I could be alone is this, but I would never spend $300 to buy a wrinkled blouse. Hopefully this is not a trend that will be seen in the rest of the inventory.
We gave this sale a 5 out of 10 because of the condition of the clothes, the high prices, and the lack of sizing. Many items were the only ones of their style and appeared to be very old. Shopping this sale reminded me of shopping at a second-hand store, but with way higher prices…

The second ever Chloe sample sale was quite the spectacle: long lines and strict rules. 260 staff was ever so careful to ensure that no one take pictures. Instead, our team had to turn on the memory and find items that can later be pulled from different sites.
After scouring a number of sites, we’re including ‘spotted’ items below. Yes, there were bags there – between 50% and 70% off retail, shoes going as cheap as $100, shoes 70% off, RTW 80% off. In terms of seasons, also coats, dresses, shoes, bags & jewelry. We think you’ll love it. Details below.

I was on the train at 7:20AM this morning trying to make it for the 8AM opening of the Rebecca Taylor sample sale. The sale was just as I remembered: one hot mess. Bags were piled in the floor on the corner, and the room was packed with frantic women grabbing at racks and stripping naked on the floor.
That reflected two things: selection was pretty good and prices were AMAZING. Face it, Rebecca Taylor jackets retail for $475 to $550, on sale maybe… maybe $350. At the sale, they are 75. That’s how good the prices are. The tweed dresses, tops, skirts, pants, shoes, sweaters – everything was there. Mostly Summer & Spring items selling for $30-$150. A few pieces of jewelry and clutches at checkout & that’s that.
To be honest, this is one of my favorite sample sales – has that authentic feel. Definitely check it out.

Summer is back at the Parker sample sale. There are so many casual and evening dresses to choose from in their large, and chic midtown showroom. If you have a bunch of weddings coming up, this is the sale for you. The most expensive dresses were evening gowns at $180! We can’t even believe it. Parker had a mix of samples and regular stock. Dresses weren’t the only thing on the menu; you can also shop tops, bottoms, jumpsuits, rompers, outerwear, and coverups. Most of the sample were in great condition and $50 or under.
We rated this sample sale an 8 out of 10. Merchandise was excellent: plenty of options and very beautiful pieces! Prices were also very fair. Most items are summer pieces, so you do have to wait until next year to sport it. On the other hand, with the holidays coming up you can stock up on dresses. Happy shopping!

I walk in, and it’s complete chaos. Staff members were running around, people everywhere, I don’t even know what to do. Unable to find a shopping basket, I shove myself into the already over-stuffed room. It hit me that this is probably a fire hazard. They didn’t follow their own 25 people maximum. There are so many people in the room; your only option is to get online to check out and shop through there. Yes, you read that correctly, now let me break that down for you. There were bins in the center of the room creating an island and bins along the perimeter of the room. You entered the line at the door and went along the walkway that wrapped around the makeshift island. You can add items to your basket while walking. However, the line was at a standstill, so you were a victim of standing in front of the same bins for quite a bit of time. It was so overwhelming I had to step out. I wasn’t getting anywhere, and this was a clear waste of time.
I returned to drastic improvements. The lunchtime rush has died down, and you can appreciate the sale for what it actually is: a really great sale. Prices are at rock bottom with the most expensive items reaching $30. They even had smaller items for as low as $1! What a bargain! Shop a plethora of skin care products for any skin type. There is a $20 credit card minimum and 10 item maximum.
After I improved my mood and I filled up my basket, it was time to check out. Frustration quickly returned and consumed me. There’s one staff member that solely marks down what’s in your basket. Then you take the paper, and your items to the actual check out person to charge you. Now That’s already extremely inefficient, especially with large crowds. Peter Thomas Roth products and June Jacobs products need to be checked out separately. This doesn’t help with the $20 minimum. So, I had to abandon my June Jacobs products. When I checked out the person who filled the product paper became my cashier since the real cashier was cleaning up. She didn’t know how to check me out and didn’t even bag my items. Talk about inefficiency.
We had to give the Peter Thomas Roth and June Jacobs sample sale a 5.5 out of 10. It’s a real shame because it’s a great sale, but it’s a hot mess, and it destroys the shopping experience. We totally recommend you go, just be prepared for chaos. Happy shopping!

With the holidays coming up, you will have more of an excuse to dress up these next few months. Pair a super cute clutch with your party outfit at the Edie Parker sample sale. The sale was held in this tiny little room packed with clutches and accessories. Edie Parker clutches go for over $1,200. Prices at the sale started at $150, and most bags were in the $300 and $500 range. We know that’s pretty steep for a sample sale, but the discount is rather high.
There was a small line to get inside due to the space constraints. Once you got in, you were greeted by a large selection of cute, quirky clutches and accessories. The accessories, including phone cases, key chains, coasters, and trays, were priced a little lower if you’re shopping on a budget. The staff was incredibly sweet and really helpful if you had any pricing questions. So, if you frequent parties then it’s is worth to drop a few hundred bucks on a clutch. Happy shopping!
