90% Off at the Michael Kors Sample Sale

By: Riva Neumann

The Michael Kors Sample Sale is the sale to be at! Literally everything is 90% off you know you are getting a good deal. Most of the clothes available were less than $100, and a lot were even less than $50! The dresses were absolutely gorgeous and some ranged in the $100-$200 range, while others were well over $500, but retailed around $5000. My personal favorite was the bag selection. They have python bags for less than $300, how crazy is that? a lot of bags are less than $100 and the ones that are more are a lot of exotic leathers. I bought a python bag for $275 and a hand-painted gold python clutch for $79.

The shoes are also a great deal, most are under $100 (I got myself a pair of $450 shoes for $45 WHAT THE HECK).  I was really impressed with sale and I think everyone should go!

Overall, I gave this sale a 9/10, this is a great sale and you are definitely getting a good deal!

Zadig & Voltaire Sample Sale is The Sale to be at

By: Riva Neumann

The Zadig & Voltaire Sample Sale is the place to get everything you need for fall! The Parisian fashion line has so much available at this sale for really good prices. The selection of outerwear is really great and perfect for the colder weather. Faux fur was around $200 and leather was around $350. There were also cooler, lighter jackets for around $100. Cashmere was also a steal ranging from $125-$175. Dresses ranged from $100-$200 and are a great steal. They have leather pants for $75 and some gorgeous sequined ones also for $75. The tees are one of the best deals at $30 a tee. There is also a decent selection of men’s as well!

The shoes are honestly amazing and such a great buy. Sneakers are $150, found some cute boots for $225 and other shoes for $50-$75. The bags are were my personal favorite part! There are some really good pieces for $130 and they also have runway bags available!

Overall, I gave this sale a 9/10, there is such good merchandise at great prices and the staff is so lovely!

Elie Saab Sample Sale – Starting at 75% Off

elie saab sample sale 2019

The Elie Saab sample sale is hosted at Soiffer Haskin, which means no photos or videos allowed. We’re giving you the verbal low-down here.

At 10:30AM on the first day there was no line at all to get in, and while there were people shopping, it wasn’t busy by any stretch of the imagination. The huge space was lined with gowns on the left (organized by size and then color), dresses and separates in the center and shoes and other accessories on the right.

Sizes were European and US versions, but staff recommended to go a size up since they run small. Each item was priced individually and you had to multiply the price point by .25 to figure out what you would pay.

If you care about the brand, these prices cannot be beat. #1, it’s hard to find this brand on e-commerce to begin with since the selection on other retailer sites is limited and #2, you definitely cannot beat the prices. A gorgeous beaded gown for $1,200 is a steal. If you want a gown but don’t care for the designer – skip.

I love the brand (even made a copy of it at one point in my life for a fancy wedding) so I’m giving it an 8 out 10.

Sonia Rykiel Sample Sale – Gorgeous and Expensive

sonia rykiel sample sale fall 2019

We got a sneak peak of the Sonia Rykiel sample sale today (as did our VIPs) and here’s what we think in a nutshell: great stuff, very expensive.

When you walk into the room, the hallway area is filled with bags, that range from $125 to $300. Some people were complaining that the bags were $100 at the last sale and are $125 now, but all in all, a lot of people walked out with bags.

The inner room was filled with clothes. Boxes of knits in the center and racks with sweaters, dresses, skirts and pants around the perimeter of the room. There were signs on the wall with pricing. Sweaters ranged from $110 to $300, skirts were $175, short dresses $225 and longer dresses for $300.

Should you go? That ultimately depends on how much you care about the price and how much you are interested in spending. I loved the stuff, but did not want to spend $300 on a sweater so 6.5 out of 10 for me.

Lingua Franca Sample Sale Is Still Too Expensive

We’re not going to lie. The Lingua Franca sale was kind of a disappointment. First off, there wasn’t too much of a selection – just a few sad racks of sweaters with some inspirisms. And whatever they did have was super expensive, even with the discount. Sweaters ranged from $100 to $185 (and these aren’t even fancy party sweaters). These are your average wear on Sunday with jeans type of sweaters.

The sale only had some sweaters but no cardigans (like – at all). And there was a small rack of children’s sweaters. The Yoya sale took place in the same location and was much better in that there was a lot more merchandise, and prices were 60-70% off retail.

All in all, stay home. This sample sale isn’t worth it. There are many sweater sample sales coming up and you’ll have plenty to choose from for a much better price. We’re giving this sale a 4 out of 10.

Interesting Stuff at the Vivienne Westwood Sample Sale

By: Riva Neumann

The Vivienne Westwood Sample Sale was not super impressive and was just like your typical 260 sample sale. They had a lot of good pieces though at some pretty good discounts so I don’t think it was a total bust. They have a good selection of tops starting at $55 for t-shirts and going up to $150 for knitwear. Bottoms are all $50 besides trousers which as $90. Day dresses and jumpsuits are $100, cocktails dresses are $320 and gowns are $450. The jackets were nice but they were $320 which I think is pricey for a sample sale.

There was a lot of fashion jewelry as well as a nice selection of bags. Fashion jewelry starts at $35 and goes up to $130 while bags start at $50 and go up to $250. The shoes were also a great steal, if there was no box they were $15, but by the time I got there I couldn’t find any. Other shoes started at $50 and went up to $250. They also had a nice selection of accessories such as scarves, gloves and wallets.

Overall, I gave this sale a 6/10, I didn’t find it super exciting but if you are a fan, you would probably really like this sale!

Another Great Joie, Equipment, and Current Elliott Sale at 260

By: Jacqueline Munro

Although I hate to praise 260, it’s impossible not to after their second great multi-brand sale this season. I went to their Joie, Equipment, and Current Elliott sale back in May and I was totally blown away. The prices were amazing and there was a ton of cute merchandise which is completely off-brand for 260. Although there were some repeat styles this time around, they did have a lot of new merchandise and the prices remained impressive.

The Joie inventory was defintiely the most stocked at this sample sale. There were tons of tops, jackets, dresses, pants, shoes, and even accessories. The Current Elliott section offered lots of cute, comfy sweatshirts as well as t-shirts, and a minimal selection of stylish jeans. Sadly there wasn’t as much Equipment this time, but they still had plenty of stunning classic blouses for $60 **cue tears of joy**. This is a great sample sale to go to if you want to start prepping your wardrobe for the fall. Overall I rated this sale a 7/10. Unfortunately because the sale is taking place at 260 that inevitably means rude staff members and aggressive crouds which make it a miserable environment to shop in. But other than that, I cannot complain. Definitely hit up this sale, it has become one of my favorites!

Inside the Luxury Sample Sale for Kids

We checked out the Luxury kids sample sale hosted in Chelsea by Eclipse NY. We slipped in before the sale opened its doors to the public, so our experience might have been neater than the public hours. But we loved it. The space was large, organized, full of designer brands for kids. Brands included Lily Gaufrette, Kenzo, Paul Smith. Most items were under $50 a pop. And there was a large selection from 0 months to 16 years of age.

The staff was also super sweet. For those who ask, the clothing was split by category and not by brand, so a Kenzo dress = a Paul Smith dress and vice versa. If you have little bunnies in your gardens, definitely check this one out. 10 out of 10.

Good Discounts at the Monse Sample Sale

By: Riva Neumann

The Monse Sample Sale was the place to be for some nice discounts! Though by the time the sale opened to the public there wasn’t much left, what was there was still worthwhile to shop. There were a lot of showstopping pieces starting at around $200, and some more ready-to-wear pieces starting at $50. While there was a lot of really good pieces available, there was a lot of damaged pieces as well. The good news is that the damaged pieces were significantly less so it was worthwhile to buy and have fixed.

The shoes were definitely something to get at this sale. Shoes ranged from $50-$150 and pretty much all were in good condition. They had flats, heels and boots as well as $10 slides.

Overall, I gave this sale an 8.5/10. I would highly recommend this sale if you are familiar with the brand, but even if you aren’t, this was a great sale that should not be missed!
