You will want to work out after going to Outdoor Voices!

By: Gabriella Rose

Set up: The Outdoor Voices sample sale was a hit; prices were low and quantity was high. The sale was composed of many different racks with athleasure: sports bras, tank tops, hoodies, leggings, jackets, swim, and more. It was rather confusing, however, that there were not separate men and women’s sections- both were spread out throughout the space (they had more women’s merchandise than the men’s).

Merchandise/pricing: The entire sale’s prices were very low, and ranged between prices $10-$50. There was a lot of merchandise, besides for the men’s clothing (especially swim). I noticed a lot of sports bras and leggings, all in multiple colors. The sale had gorgeous puffers and coats that would be great for the winter. I saw a few men’s sweats and collard shirts as well, in some grey shades.

Rate: 7/10, great prices that are high in quantity. Worth it to go!

The Dreems sample sale is a dream!

By: Gabriella Rose

Set up: The set up of this sample sale was quite interesting- while the whole space was on sale, the larger discounted items  were placed in the back of the room. In the back, there were racks that were labeled $30 rack, $90, and $200. I was genially surprised at certain items that I saw on the $30 rack! There were bags and jewelry in the front entrance, and some great men’s shoes in the back as well. The entire room was gorgeous, and smelled divine! Defiantly worth a trip.

Merchandise/pricing: The entire store was on sale, and the back of the room had some $30, $90, and $200 racks. While the store had gorgeous pieces, there was mostly only one of each item. Due to that unfortunate attribute, this sale is truly a hit or miss. Dreems had very cool pieces; I saw very cute patterned jeans, leather skirts, and tons of coats. Now onto accessories: there were a ton of men’s shoes and bags, women’s bags, wallets, and jewelry. The prices for the accessories ranged from $25-$150. There were very pretty gold necklaces and bracelets near the main entrance of the store. This sale was great, and worthwhile if you are nearby.

Rate: 7/10 Great prices, gorgeous merchandise, lots of accessories for both men and women.

Let’s pray it snows after buying all things cashmere at THE ARRIVALS sample sale!

By: Gabriella Rose

Set up: The Arrivals sample sale was extremely impressive. They had ample amounts of all things cashmere, and tons of The Arrivals coats to top it all off. The space was not crowded and very organized; The Arrivals coats were hung in the front entrance, and the cashmere was then throughout the room. In the center of the room, there were boxes filled with cashmere accessories: scarves, gloves, shawls, and more. It was very organized and easy to find exactly what you are looking for. The staff was helpful, and it was a fun shopping experience. This sale is worthwhile to attend.

Merchandise/ pricing: The pricing of this sale was excellent. For starters, The Arrivals merchandise ranged from $25-$500. Next, the cashmere pricing was as follows: gloves $30, scarves $40, reversible wraps $100, pajamas $30, robes $70, hoodies $60, zip-up sweatshirts $70, and sweatpants $50. It was fascinating to me, personally, that I saw some scarves were originally in the $400’s, and were now being sold for just $40! There was also tons in stock; I saw around 3-4 boxes for each item. There were warm and soft scarves, cute “XO” labeled gloves, and fuzzy slippers as well. This sale was mostly women, but there was one rack for the men. That rack’s pricing was as follows: pants $50, and sweaters $60.

Rate: 7.5/10 Amazing deals, unlimited merchandise, and a great experience. Only one men’s rack.

Minor Excitement for Minor History

By: Eve Orbach

Minor History is currently hosting a sample sale that offers discounts of up to 75% on their leather products. The brand’s focus is on creating more environmentally friendly leather products. All of their products are tanned without harmful, toxic dyes and all their leather comes from animals that were already being used in the food industry. Any brand that is doing their part to help the environment gets extra approval from me. Go Minor History! Even though the intentions behind this brand are in the right place, this sale is pretty disappointing.

Most items are priced at around $20–$50. The style of the merchandise is basic, for lack of a better word. They were mostly solid colors and the designs weren’t all too exciting. (And by that I am just trying to avoid calling a boring spade a boring spade)

The space was large and well organized. Items are separated neatly by item, type, and price. There are many styles and lots of stock to choose from.

The best deals of the sale are keychains for $2, luggage tags for $5, and large clutches and bucket bags for $20.

Loyal readers, save yourself some time and skip this one. Lame options + not so great prices= a 4/10

(Michelle) Waugh, Don’t Go

By: Eve Orbach

This Michelle Waugh sale has discounts of up to 70% off on outerwear. Featured are trench coats, blazers, puffers, cashmere coats, shearling, and more. The same exact discounts are currently being offered on their website, so if you’re thinking of purchasing something save yourself the trip (and instead just order from your couch in your sweatpants).

Most of the coats are either around or well above $600. The styles of the coats range – they have both detailed patterns and your basic solid. There are lighter for spring and fall and heavier ones for the winter. They have a nice selection of styles.

The space was pretty small, so small that it consisted of maybe 4 racks if we’re being generous. Also, the size of the sale totally contributed to the awkwardness I felt when taking pictures of everything while being so closely watched. Oops! The staff was helpful and friendly.

I give this sale a
3/10. Even though the merchandise was very cute I thought the prices were unjustified. The fact that there wasn’t that much stock also contributes to this not so great score. Hopefully they’ll be better luck next time ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
