Shoe Inn Warehouse Sale Has More Than Ten Thousand Pairs of Shoes

We were lucky enough to get a sneak peak preview of the Shoe-Inn 22nd annual warehouse sale, which took place in a former Duane Reade on 39th St and Madison Ave in NYC. If you told us a week ago that 2 floors of a massive store can be packed from floor to ceiling with shoes and boots for women, we wouldn’t have believed you, but that’s exactly what the Shoe-Inn Warehouse sale is: a warehouse filled to the brim with shoes.

Setup: The street level is filled with non-boots: that includes sneakers, loafers, slides, flats, pumps and heels. The bottom level is lined with boots. All the shoes are in their original boxes and are on tables. It’s important to note that underneath the boxes are additional boxes with different styles. There are very many to choose from. Tables are sorted by size.

Pricing: On a high-level, pricing is straightforward: all shoes are between $29 and $99; boots are between $39 and $249. That being said, every brand has its own price for shoes and boots – that’s when you’ll find the gigantic alphabetical signs hanging from the ceiling super helpful. They tell you the price by brand – so when you pick up a shoe, you can quickly run through your ABCs, find the right brand and figure out how much it will cost you. All accessories are priced with individual tags.

Assortment: The range of shoes at the sale was to die for. Most of them were current season, and many are still selling in stores at full price. The Shoe-Inn owners travel to Italy 6 times per year to stock up on shoes and often close exclusive deals with designer brands. At the sale, we found Botkier, Stuart Weitzmann, Uggs, Via Spiga, Jeffrey Campbell, Vince and Marc Fisher among 30+ other brands. The shoes are affordable and trendy.

Re-Stocking: We know how much you love to ask whether a brand is restocking or not – so this get ready: this one is. There will be 2 truckloads of new merchandise every new day of the sale.

We really hope you enjoy the Shoe Inn warehouse sale as much as we did. Aside from the time we spent searching for pricing, we loved the sale. I walked away with a pair of Rebecca Minkoff loafers ($50). Therefore, we give the Shoe-Inn warehouse sale a 9 out of 10.

luxury designer lingerie sample sale

If you are planning a vacation sometime soon and want to show off your bod in some super-cool swimsuit, this sale is one you should definitely hit up.

Sizing: Since this is a legitimate showroom, most of the items are sample sizes in smalls and mediums.

The Susan van der Linde and Andrew Stevens Sample Sale has Amazing Shoes

By: Jacqueline Munro

The Susan van der Linde and Andrew Stevens sample sales are occurring in the same wonderful showroom on the upper east side. We got a sneak preview today, and could not be happier about it.

At this sample sale both of the brands have a gorgeous assortment of merchandise. All of the shoes come in a wide range of sizes, and most of them have several color options too! Both Susan van der Linde and Steven Andrews shoes are so comfortable which is really refreshing; these days it is difficult to find comfortable shoes that aren’t hideous. Both brands have options for women of all ages. From trendy pvc pumps and espadrille sneakers, to classic ballet flats, you’re guaranteed to find something you like. Additionally, Susan is selling her bags, which are absolutely stunning. If you love a good matching moment, there are lots of purses that pair well with her shoes! And here is the best part: the markdowns range from 50% to more than 85% off! You can’t beat that; especially given the tremendous quality of all of the products.

Overall I’m giving this sale an 8/10. Coming from a frequent sample sale flyer, it is really nice not to have to go all the way downtown to shop. Furthermore, the kindness of the brand owners is unmatched. If you need new shoes for any occasion, this is definitely the place to be.

Florals and not much else at the Yumi Kim Sample Sale

By: Riva Neumann

The Yumi Kim Sample Sale did not disappoint when it said they had beautiful floral print pieces for sale, though there was not much else. There were more floral dresses in the sample sale than I have ever seen in my life, not that I have anything against floral print, but it was A LOT. Prices were decent and clearly marked: $50 for tops, blazers and bottoms, $75 for short dresses and jumpsuits and $95 for maxi dresses.

The actual clothes at the sample sale were gorgeous and good quality and the sale was neatly organized by piece. It was pretty easy to find what size you were looking for and where it would be. The sale also wasn’t crowded which is a huge plus for me for a sample sale. They were also selling bathing suits for $15 each piece which is great for summer.

Overall, I gave the sale a 6/10. It was an okay sale, but nothing really amazing about it unless you have a major floral obsession that needs tending to.

Caroline Constas Sample Sale is Cute and Colorful

By: Jacqueline Munro

The Caroline Constas sample sale has a lot of cute merchandise for decent prices. I am still dazzled by all of the colorful sequins and fun patterns, but much less thrilled with the disorganization of the clothing and the hectic crowd. If you’re in the area and looking for some cute summer party clothes, I’d say check this sale out. But be prepared to be herded into the dressing room like cattle.

At this sample sale, there is a plethora of cute tops, dresses, and bathing suits, but not as big of a selection of bottoms. Although there were some cute skirts, the pants were few and far in between. In the showroom, there are a lot of samples which is nice because they’re cheaper than the production items. But you better really like something before you decide to try it on; the line is extremely long and they harshly shuffle large groups of women in and out of the dressing room every fifteen minutes. It is quite an unpleasant experience.

Overall I’m giving this sale a 7/10.  It has a lot of cute, on-trend clothing, and the discounts are pretty good. There are so many tops and bikinis that I want, but aside from the fact that my summer body is nowhere to be found, I just can’t bring myself to cough up the cash. If you are willing to pay though, I think that this sale is definitely worth going to.

The Araks Sample Sale is So Disorganized

By: Jacqueline Munro

The Araks sample sale was bad; I’m still disturbed by the complete lack of organization going on in the showroom. And I’m absolutely haunted by the bare feet that were spreading germs around the showroom (I’ll explain, just keep reading).

At this sample sale, all of the merchandise is just tossed into bins which are separated by size. These bins are a complete nightmare to dig through. Additionally, there is hardly any variety in the colors and styles of the pieces, and the sizing is so terrible! The smalls look like they could fit Barbies, and the larges look like they could fit American Girl Dolls. I feel offended on behalf of all of the big busted women out there. While the prices are decent, I still think the brand is ripping its customers. These sample sale prices are what the products should be retailing for! Because trust me, the products are nothing special!

The bare feet though… The area sectioned off to be the dressing room had a carpet in it, so the staff members asked customers to take their shoes off before entering. But some of these customers didn’t put them back on before continuing to shop, nor did they have socks on… GAG! Overall, I’m giving this sale a 4/10. None of the merchandise was cute and the layout was a disaster. I would not recommend going to this sale.

LemLem Sample Sale is LameLame

By: Jacqueline Munro

The LemLem sample sale had me really confused before I knew anything about the brand. To be completely honest, I could never have imagined why anyone would pay so much money for the kind of clothing they sell. But then I did some research and discovered that it is all made by African women who previously had no market to sell their products. This changed my mindset about the brand itself, but I still feel a little iffy about their sale.

At a sample sale for a brand like this, I would expect prices to range from $20-$50. But they are not even close; these products are selling for $65-$250. And anything worth buying is on the higher end of that price scale. Even the kids clothing items were $50 a piece. Although the dresses are pretty cute for the beach, I honestly don’t think they’re worth the money.

Overall, I’m giving this sale a 5/10. For a sample sale, the prices are just way too high. If this clothing line did not support a good cause, this review would be a lot nastier. But if you like expensive beach coverups and are an avid supporter of sustainability, this sale is the right place for you. Otherwise, I’d avoid it.

Melissa Kaye Sample Sale- Fine Jewelry, Fine Sample Sale

By: Riva Neumann

The Melissa Kaye Sample Sale had some really beautiful, expensive pieces for a fraction of the cost, literally. All of the pieces were a whopping 70% off retail. This made pieces that were around $1,400 only $400 which is a bargain for these pieces. Many people came in looking for Mother’s Day presents (as was I) and did not leave disappointed. I was able to snag a cute pair of gold studs for $165 that retailed for around $550. There weren’t many pieces to choose from but the pieces that were available were gorgeous, but mostly out of my price range.

Though everything was 70% off, I struggled to figure out the prices of the pieces since it was hard to find the tags with the prices. Overall, I gave the sale a 6/10, their decent prices for high-end jewelry make this sale worth it.

Bling-a-ling-a-ling at the Retrofete Sample Sale

Retrofete sample sale 2019

Here’s everything you need to know about the Retrofete sample sale. The sample sale was busy this morning, with shoppers waiting on line eagerly for the doors to open. The room was fillled with sparkly sequins on every single item! There were so many beautiful pieces! While there were a number of items for each style, there were only a few Gabriella robe dresses, one of the most popular styles Refrofete carries.  Also, the velvet dress with pearls was $100 at the sale, while it is still on final sale on Shopbop for $397.

The room was was filled with merchandise along the perimeter. Staff was very helpful. Pricing was great on some items, where the discount was a little over 80% off retail. Some items (such as that same Gabriella robe dress) were only 50% off and that’s not a sample sale LOL.

The brand is relatively new, and is quickly becoming a favorite amongst fashionistas. If you are looking for a Retrofete piece, we strongly recommend stopping by. There are items from the sale that are still full price on Shopbop, not too be confused with the famous ShopDrop.

Yigal Azrouel Sample Sale is Perfect for Brand Lovers

yigal azrouel sample sale 2019

Thank you to our phenomenal followers who go to sample sales and then come back and share their experiences. Here’s the low-down on the Yigal Azrouel sample sale.

Pricing: Most items were priced under $250, which was great given the $1,000+ price tags on many items. A rack of current collection items was selling for 40% off retail.

Merchandise: Beautiful but expensive leather items, a table with scarves and a few belts. There were 2 racks of gown, jumpsuits. Other racks had pants, skirts, dresses and tops.

Samples were mixed in with production pieces, but that didn’t matter because pricing was the same for both. We didn’t see any Cut25 items either.

Sizing: Most items were either sample size or Small or Medium.

Overall, we’ll say the same thing we said about the last Yigal Azrouel sample sale. If you like the brand and would be willing to pay full price in store, then you’re going to love this sample sale.
