The Icebreaker NZ sample sale is the first in NY. The brand used to have a number of stores in the US but not any more. The brand has a full range of hiking and sports clothes for any environment: winter or Summer.
At the sample sale things were between 50% and 80% off and ranged between $10 and $100 per item. The most expensive items were the coats at $100. Socks, hats and other accessories were around $10.
The sample sale featured items for both men and women and was organized well. Lots of basics as well that can be used as-is for hiking or under winter gear for skiing. The best deals were on the vests and jackets – only $50.
We gave this sale an 8 out of 10. If you’re a sporty type, check it out. If you’re not a sporty type, become one.
The Oscar de la Renta sample sale came to us this week at 260’s SoHo location. In terms of merchandise, it did not disappoint. The sale was a perfect shopping opportunity to stock up on work outfits, casual outfits, black tie, furs, shoes, and even something for the kiddies. And, calling all brides, you can score your very own Oscar de la Renta wedding gown for the big day.
We rated the Oscar de la Renta sample sale a 6 out of 10. While merchandise was on point, the prices were not. Now, we know Oscar de la Renta has a high price point, but damn, can they budge just a little?! Anyway, there were a ton of samples and regular stock. The sample sale consisted of mostly smaller sizes, so it was a bit limiting for the general public. Lastly, let’s talk about shoes. Most of them were samples and were wrecked! What did these models do? Complete a triathlon in them?! I mean some shoes were straight up foot disease waiting to happen, and they had the nerve to charge $89 for all shoes! If you have a black tie event coming up head over to the Oscar de la Renta sample sale. You can snag a beautiful gown that will make you stand out at your next event. Happy shopping!
P.S. At check out mention that you found out about the sale through Shopdrop App. Help us get our name out there! xoxo!

Clothingline hosted another one-day Milly sample sale. Was it great? Well that depends on what you care about at sample sales. The prices were extremely cheap. We struggled to find any item over $50 and there was a table of Manolo Blahniks, yes yes, Manolo Blahniks for $25.
That said, the styles were ancient. Museum-type ancient. If you don’t care about seasonality or are fine with wearing shoes and skirts that might pass for vintage, this sale was definitely one we strongly recommend. If you like Milly’s current season, this sale had nothing for you.

This was the first time IRO hosted an independent sample sale in New York and we were blown away. The space was huge and was filled with racks for both men and women. The stuff you’ll be the happiest with are the leather motto jackets (priced 60%-70% off retail), the flair dresses, and button down tops.
The sample sale is perfect for this time of the year. A large sweater selection offered heavy winter sweaters, along with light-weight knits. Lots and lots of jeans for the ladies of all different cuts and washes. There was definitely a good amount to choose from.
In terms of shoes, there was also a gamut: sandals, ankle boots, booties, flats and casual sneakers. The sale also sported branded clutches that would go perfectly with a flair dress, motto jacket and booties in this random March weather.
For men, the selection was still generous but smaller (duh – what did you expect!) – plenty of sweats, long-sleeve shirts and knits, but less pants.
Overall, this sale is definitely worth the trip and therefore, we’re offering it an 8 out of 10. If you go and are willing to shell out some cash, you will definitely find a super-cute outfit for the spring weather ahead. And we’re definitely keeping our fingers crossed for price reductions. Keep following us on Instagram stories and we will keep you posted!
As I am writing this blog about Prabal Gurung and looking at the photos of the merchandise and pricing, I just want to pack up my bags and go right back there to get another few goodies. The Prabal Gurung sample sale was small as always and hosted in the brand showroom. I was expecting huge lines, but nothing of the sort. There were 4-5 women trying on clothes – otherwise, the place was empty.
The prices were the lowest as far as we could remember. There was a box of $10 items and the most expensive items were $150. At the last sale, they were $250. You can read our review of the last Prabal Gurung sample sale here. Shoes were $25 and $35 and were extremely cool. That being said, they were only selling sizes 39-42. For clothes, there was an extensive rack of items for $75, $100 and $150. And the safety pin items sold for $25.
Just to explain how crazy this sale is – items at retail don’t cost $500 or $600 but rather $1k and $3k – that made discounts over 95% off for some items. For that reason, we’re giving this sale an 8 out of 10 and are definitely putting it at the top of our list.
The Kiton sample sale severely lacks in options for women, but for men, there is a huge selection of fancy clothing (mostly suits) waiting to be purchased. Ladies, I wouldn’t recommend going to this sale, but guys, if you love Kiton but hate the price tags, head on over!
Everything at this sale is 65% off retail. Shoes, accessories (such as hats, ties, cufflinks), suits, shirts, jeans, and outerwear are neatly organized throughout the space. All of the items are smartly separated by size and category which makes it easier to shop. The suits at this sample sale are gorgeous. The styles range from business chic to funky dad and I obsessed over most of them. Unfortunately, though the selection of shirts is kind of lame and some of the more intricate pieces with sensitive materials (such as suede) are damaged.
Ladies, there isn’t really much to say here. There is one long rack with different kinds of merchandise mixed throughout. A lot of the items are damaged or in poor condition which is really disappointing. There are some really cute pieces though, and everything 65% off retail. The most impressive items are outerwear but there were a couple of cute blouses.
Overall I am going to give this sale a 6/10. I think 65% off retail for Kiton is good, but not on par with typical sample sale deals. Even though it is a top-notch designer, they could do better. I mean look at the Roberto Cavalli sample sale prices! That’s what all sample sale discounts should be like. But I digress; the staff members at this sale were friendly and helpful, and for men, they had a nice range of options. I think if you’re a guy looking for a fancy new suit, you should go; otherwise, stay home.

This was the third Roberto Cavalli sample sale hosted by clothingline in the past 1.5 years. Finally, this time we cannot complain about pricing – it was so much better. As far as the merchandise goes. A lot of the merchandise is the same as in the previous sample sales and is pretty old. If you do have the time to dig through the merchandise, there definitely are some gems to be found!
Some gowns were selling for $299! The outerwear was also priced at $299! There were tons of bottoms: skirts, pants and denim. For those reading this far, here’s the secret – there was an entire Tom Ford rack (!!)) selling for 85% off retail. Don’t worry, you’ll still have to shell out an arm and a leg, since the retail prices average out at $10,000 per item. The sample sale had merchandise for both women and men. Of the Cavalli sales so far, this is definitely the best one.
The Lilla P sample sale is giving off serious summer vibes. There is a ton of merchandise as well as a variety of sizes in order to accommodate your transition from winter to summer bod. If you like Lilla P or Leo and Sage, or just need to prep your wardrobe for spring, you might be interested in checking out this sale.
At the Lilla P sample sale, there are lots of cute pieces. They have plenty of stylish t-shirts, darling matching sets, cozy cashmere sweaters, and various kinds of dresses. They offer a wide range of sizes and the racks are littered with color for those who embrace the beauty of the rainbow. This sale is perfect for the preppy girl who loves summer. The only downfall is that the prices are a little steep. I feel like $30 for t-shirts at a sample sale is too much.
Overall, I’m going to give this sale a 7 out of 10. The location of the sale was lovely, there was a nice array of products, and the staff members were both friendly and helpful. Despite the fact that the prices weren’t jaw-dropping, I felt that this sale still had a lot to offer. If you’re a Lilla P or Leo and Sage fan and feel like you would be satisfied with 60% off, I’d say check this one out.

Alright, I’m going to be completely honest here: I was not impressed with the second round of the Bogner sample sale. Unless you’re totally bored or in absolute dire need of some fancy new ski gear, I’d say skip this one.
At the Bogner sample sale, there is a lot of merchandise for both men and women; ski jackets, pants, boots, helmets, and more. There is a nice variety of colors and styles, and even two small racks for children’s items. You’re probably reading this and thinking, “well this all sounds good to me!” But the rest of it is downhill from here.
The markdowns at this sample sale were lame. It felt more like a semi-annual sale than a sample sale. Sample sales usually offer anywhere from 70%-90% off retail, but most of the items at the Bogner sale were marked down to about 50% or less. This really disappointed me; 50% off isn’t that great when you’re buying very expensive items.
Overall I’m going to give this sale a 6/10. I considered giving it a 5 due to the mediocre discounts, but they did have a lot of options and it was really well organized. The staff members were friendly and helpful, and not having to check my coat was kind of nice. But honestly, If I were you, I would sit this one out. Unless you’re ready to drop a lot of cash, this sale is a slippery slope.

Overall, the Chloe sample sale is definitely worth checking out if you love getting a good deal.
There were a lot of gorgeous pieces on sale for up to 80% off retail value. I went at around 1pm and faced no line, which was undeniably a plus. There was a mix of some older pieces and newer pieces at the sale as well as a big selection of See by Chloe pieces. The shoe selection was something I was looking forward to and was not at all disappointed. There was a huge variety of shoes, boots, and heels that were all so elegant and classy.
The bags were all really beautiful, but there wasn’t as much of a selection as I would have hoped for. This sale was really lacking in the accessories department but had a really nice selection of clothes and shoes. I really enjoyed this sale for the most part and would encourage anyone to check it out.
