Halston Heritage Sample Sale: Iconic Style at Affordable Prices

By: Cristina Martin

Clothingline is hosting the Halston Heritage sample sale for a few days just before Thanksgiving. You would be crazy not to attend this sale! Merchandise was amazing and the prices were even better. Halston is an iconic brand that was in it’s prime in the 1970s. Then it came back in the spotlight when Sarah Jessica Parker wore a Halston dress in Sex and The City. Who can really resist Carrie Bradshaw fever?!

There was plenty of beautiful pieces at the Halston Heritage sample sale. Dresses which retail for around $500 – $600, but at the sale, you can buy both evening and cocktail dresses for under $100. Shoes and handbags were on sale for $20 – $30. The selection was a little less for bags, but you can still find some staple pieces. We know Black Friday and Cyber Monday is coming up, but this sale is definitely worth a visit! Happy shopping and happy Thanksgiving!

A Quick Look at the Clothingline Blowout Sale

Clothingline Blowout Sale

Liligal$8 off over $70 code: link end: 9/30

Clothingline Sample Sales has their own leftover merch from all the sample sales they run. So, they mix it all together and turn it into the one day Clothingline Blowout sale. We arrived at 10:30 a.m., to the sale that opened at 10:00 a.m., and there was a line down the block. Clothingline is known for not having the best sales. What can people really be standing in line for? Well, they had a few key sales (ex. Theory/Helmut Lang) and then priced that leftover merchandise extremely low. We did an Instagram poll, and most of our users agreed that line was a waste of time.

Thank you to one of our users for reporting from the inside.

A Theory Sale We Finally Approve: The Theory x Helmut Lang Sample Sale

Theory x Helmut Lang Sample Sale

By: Cristina Martin

Theory has been having sales left and right the past six months. I guess it took them leaving 260 Sample Sales to finally becoming a decent  sale. This time Theory partnered up with Helmut Lang and found a new home at Clothing Line. We are finally seeing actual sample sale prices at this Theory x Helmut Lang sample sale. Discounts were between 40% – 80% off. Traditionally at Theory sales, prices are still through the roof. All shoes were usually over $100, but this time the most expensive shoe was $75.

The selection was excellent! They even had a small men’s section. Although Clothing Line’s space is a little dingy, you definitely have space to shop comfortably. There is enough stock for both summer and winter shopping. Even though you don’t want to think about coats in the middle of July, it doesn’t hurt to grab one now at these prices. Unfortunately, the Theory x Helmut Lang sample sale is a few day, it’s deff worth checking out. Let us know what you think. Happy shopping!

Sheer Disappointment at the Milly and Publicolor Sample Sale

By: Cristina Martin

So I have to say, Milly had good intentions. All proceeds of today’s one-day sample sale benefit Publicolor, a New York based non-profit studying the psychological effects of color to improve the education among youth. However, as they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

This sale was one day only, so either you made it or you didn’t. They charged a cover, $20 for priority and $10 for regular admission. After they charged you to grace them with your presence, the prices were astronomical. I understand they need to turn somewhat of a profit to donate, but come on! If you’re charging people to come in, you need to meet them half way with better prices.

If you’re in the market for $100 shorts and feeling charitable, then the sale is for you. If you’re living among the other half and experience #BrokeGirlProblems, then you didn’t miss much.  Happy shopping!
