The Clever Alice sample sale/pop-up shop is hard to describe in few terms; while their stock isn’t enormous, their variety is. Featuring brands such as Heartloom, Blank NYC, Cigno Nero, Art Love, and many more, the sale is the perfect place to pick up discounted pieces from this past spring and summer, and pieces for winter.
My personal favorite part about the sale were the Heartloom fur coats and vests, which retail for around $150; they’re currently on sale for $50. They’re super soft and come in a wide selection of colors and styles. There are some gorgeous Blank NYC skinny jeans– an essential for any wardrobe– between $40 and $50. Cigno Nero jackets are available in a huge array of colors, both leather and suede, starting at $120. There’s also pieces from Art Love, Sweewë, and Porto, to give you an idea of just how many options there are.
Most of the pieces are winter outerwear, though you’ll find some lighter things like Heartloom dresses priced at $35 and sheer Inizio tops priced at just $22. Sizing varies by brand; Cigno Nero has sizes ranging from small to large, while Heartloom tends to be extra small and small. There’s such a wide selection of brands to choose from that you’re sure to find something to like– and at a great discount too!
Attending the Osklen Sample Sale seriously brightened up my entire Friday morning! The creativity, variety, and insanely low prices was so refreshing. Prior to the ShopDrop app, I wasn’t too familiar with the brand. I liked the photo of the clothing on the app and thought, “well the clothing seems interesting enough” not realizing the amazing treat that I was in for!
To start off the clothing itself is insanely beautiful and creative. I felt like I was at my FIT, Fashion Design Exhibition all over again. It had the quirky, creative, and curious aspect to fashion many designers now a days seem to lack. The brand experimented a lot with knits, interesting textures like straw, and unique prints! All the new season clothing was 80% off, which encouraged me to buy their latest printed knit dress! The new Fall collection embodies the season of Autumn and has a very bohemian vibe to it which I absolutely loved!
The sale itself had a lot of variety! They had a lot of creative quiky pieces but also many basics like denim jeans,, and a lot of shoes and accessories. The sale host a wide variety of seasons from pineapple button down tie shirts to warm snuggly sweaters! FOr all my velvet lovers, there was a rack dedicated to velvet dresses, pants, skirts, and skirts! I was obsessed with all the velvet dresses that varied in color and length! Velvet is such a closet staple for the Fall. They also racks filled with basic and fun business casual apparel. The rack transitioned from black trousers to fun printed blouses and dresses which I love! For all my office workers, this sale is great to visit if you need to rack up on some new office looks! They also had a very casual section with tees, shorts, and funky windbreakers! There is seriously something at this sale for every kind of girl!
My absolute favorite part of the Osklen sale was the prices! Just to break down the price list for you:
Casual Dresses: $40, Regular Dresses $60, Blouses $35, Skirts: $30, Jumpsuits $70, Tunics: $15, Pants: $50, Jeans: $20 (but had a rack filled with $10 denim!) Leather (Jackets, bags, etc): $80, Backpacks: 50, Canvas Bags: $30, Coat: $80, Blazer: $60, Wool Jacket: $50, Ballet Flats: $30, sneakers $40, sunglasses $40, and all jewelry $15! Honestly such amazing deals, considering the retail prices to most of these items are $300-$800! 260, which is hosting the sample sale has an additional sale going on, if you buy 2 items you get 15% off and if you buy 3 $25% off! It can’t get any better than that!
Hurry and check out this sale before it ends this Sunday, September 24!
Can’t believe we’ve made it to our first cycle – the first sale we covered on our blog was Parker and that we back in April. The Parker sample sale was filled with stock racks of clothing items for women in sizes 0-12. Lots and lots of beaded dresses in many different lengths. Long beaded gowns that would be perfect for Gatsby themed dinners, and cocktail dresses that will turn heads. 70% of the items included evening wear, a whole rack of tops (mostly for the Summer), a small rack of mini-skirts (leather and tweed) and pants. I saw a few blazers and vests. What you won’t find much of is sweaters. Only found 2-3 in the entire place.
From a pricing standpoint, the price list was a bit confusing. There were different prices for tops, beaded tops, sample tops… whatever. I ended up asking associates for help with pricing when I was interested in a particular item. All items were under $200 and the selection was nice. For the more price-conscious, there is a sample rack in the back of the store, filled with one-of-a-kind items that are $30-$50 cheaper than stock. The prices range from $40 to $150. Price List and Photos attached below.

Guilty for spending hours on hours scrolling through the Gilt app? Me too. Guilty for waiting for a sale to start even if it means after midnight and purchasing high end spa offers for your girlfriends and wine tours in the Hamptons for your other half you plan on venturing off with? Same! Gilt, I cannot get enough of your super exclusive, high end, chic sales and countdowns. Guilty and charged right on my credit card, I’m trained, soldier status, for the GILT olympics a.k.a. when you drop an item in the Gilt shopping cart and its reserved for only 10 mins but you already have the game plan down pact and consider nothing an impulse purchase but a strategic game plan on how to confirm your order within 8 mins, giving yourself leeway to choose the appropriate shipping options. Now thats what you call a trusted and credited gal to write here and tell you, this sale is definitely the one you want to be at.
The Gilt sample sale event located at, Industry City, 233 37th Street, Factory Floor, Brooklyn, New York started off with a BANG tonight, making the most out of their sales, it wasn’t just a sale it was a night to remember. They had it all, a convenient check in center for your bags, DJ mixing filling the atmosphere with great music, a station to get your hair done, a wine bar, coconut water refreshers, nutrition bars, and even signature garment bags to dump extremely worthy items into . Tonight, Friday September 15th, the sale took place from 6:30pm-10pm and tomorrow Saturday September 16th, the sale starts at 10am and ends at 6:30pm. I honestly have never seen designer items drop as low as it was marked like this in my entire life. Entire actual life. I mean I’ve seen how low Gilt can go on the limbo stick, when it comes to steeping down a price, but I mean Gilt gets even more flexible at their home.
Starting off with their bags, I think thats what we all hail Gilt for, the options were arrayed on 3 round tables, but it wasn’t the biggest deal. Some Kate Spade handbags, LongChamp totes, Edie Parker clutches, and actually there was a really cute winter grey Proenza Schouler mini purse that I did love with a cute top handle but prices weren’t too crazy. However, the shoes were definitely the affair of the night. From Stuart Weitzman,Christian Louboutin, Guiseppe Zanotti, Diane Von Furstenberg, Alexandre Birman (Below, I snapped the price tag for these red python skin tie-me up’s, originally retailing for $1,680.00 and now $505.00), Schutz, the list goes on and the names were huge. Biggest selection had to be Stuart Weitzman and to give you a hint on the sale, I’m talking from $445- to $125. I took home a pair of Stuart Weitzman for $89, originally $445. Shoe sizes ranged from 5-11 for women and men’s 6.5-11.
You’ll see the longest racks of clothes, longer than the average Nordstrom warehouse sale rack from sizes XS-XL for both women and men. You for sure won’t be able to find the same garment in a different size, the clothing is pretty much a lottery, but its all about luck at these sales anyways! Nevertheless, what I did get my hands on were a pair of 7 For All of Mankind jeans, and even though the denim was the smallest rack in the warehouse, I did find really cute styles and the sizes did vary, which is a good thing! Outerwear and couture dresses neighbored the denim rack and as far as the men’s clothes, lots of button downs, huge selection of outwear, dress pants, jeans, shorts, huge selection. Mens shoes? That was the most organized and neat section of all! HAHA!
Any small details? There was a home section, a kids section and luggage section with personal monogramming available for the leather goods. The dressing rooms to try on were spacious enough to get the job done. The cashier section and lines were really seamless, fast and easy. Side note, they do take away the garment bag and give you huge white shopping bags, but at this point who cares after this great shopping party. I would love to thank Gilt for hosting this great event, and I can’t begin to think what’s being restocked or what new options they are putting out on Saturday. I’m super excited for you all to get your hands on the gorgeous shoes!! I saw women even go home with classic Prada shoes!! Happy Shopping to all!
There’s something about shopping for PJs that makes me feel warm inside; it’s probably the idea that I’ll spend most of my time in the clothes lounging around and sleeping. The sale is near NYU, so when it began to rain after class on Wednesday, I took it as a sign to treat myself to luxury loungewear at the Maiyet and Eberjey sample sale at 260’s SoHo location.
260 Sample Sale’s space is huge, so there was plenty of stock, without the claustrophobia that ruins so many sample sale experiences. Plus, it wasn’t as crowded, given that Maiyet and Eberjey aren’t the most commercial brands, so you can really take your time there, feeling the soft fabrics and contemplating whether plum or a dusty teal goes better with your complexion.
There are rows of pajama sets, robes, and lounge wear in the Eberjey racks, which are set up alongside rows of coats, pants, swimwear, and dresses in the Maiyet rows. Gorgeous lace bras, underwear, and boy-shorts line the sides of the store, and there is even a small shoe table in the back. Additionally, they have a rack of Eberjey children’s clothes off to the side, if you need to pick up some cute dresses for a tiny tot in your life.
Prices are fantastic; I was able to make out with a white pajama set, two teddies, and the softest robe in the known world, for just $175, which was a steep discount from the $350 retail value. And, just for fun, I decided to check the retail prices for similar items from Victoria’s Secret: it came out to be a staggering $250.
The sale ends Sunday, September 17, so make sure to head down there this weekend. Highly recommend going, even if it’s just to check out the soft, silky fabrics. Now, I am off to take another luxurious nap in my new silky sleep attire.
