Best Kids Sample Sale: Lesters Blowout Warehouse Sale

lesters warehouse sale 2020

By: Ahuva Levy

DROP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND RUN FOR YOUR LIFE… to the Lester’s sampe sale that is.

Listen, for me to drag you to Long Island, the sale must be worth it. The warehouse was huge and was organized by size, stocked to the max (with constant restocking), well staffed and prices were insanely cheap. I got my daughter plain black Uggs for $25 (retail for $120).

Everything was at least 80% off trending brands. The anti social social club kids tees were $6. I spent so much time in the kids section, I didn’t even get to dig through women’s as much as i would like to, but I will most definitely be going back considering that LLester’s will be restocking all week and additional reductions on the last day!

Happy Shopping… you can thank me later.

CALLING ALL MOTHERS! Introducing: 7AM enfant

By: Gabriella Rose

Set up: The 7am Enfant sample sale was the best set up I have ever witnessed. They took the liberty of building all of the merchandise (strollers, backpacks, diaper bags, carseat accessories, etc.) and placing it on each table, so that customers were able to visibly see what the item will look like when put together. The room was fairly large, and everything was organized and spaced out. The staff was very sweet and helpful, and were willing to deliver any information about a given product to the customers. The lefthand side of the room was dedicated to children’s accessories and clothing, and the other-side was the Hatch brand.

Merchandise/ pricing: The sales pricing went as follows: carrier covers $25-$80, car seat covers $18-$35, backpacks $25-$30, diaper bags $7-$45, accessories $5-$20, earmuffs $8-$22, and Hatch adult clothing ranged from $30-$100. As far as children’s accessories went, there was a lot of everything in stock. There were multiple racks for young girls, but only two racks for boys. The Hatch adult clothing brand only had a few racks on the righthand side of the room.

Rate: 9.5/10 Great set up of merchandise, amazing staff, endless options.

The space was very organized and it was easy to find exactly what you wish to purchase. The righthand side of the room was filled with endless accessories. From belts to scarves, the sale truly had it all. All of the clothing was also hung nicely and the staff was also very sweet.

Pricing/ merchandise: The sale’s pricing went as follows: knit tops $20, dress shirts $39, casual shirts $39, sweaters $45, knit bottoms $25, shorts $35, casual pants $45, denim $45, dress pants $59, blazers $99, windbreakers $59, leather bomber $225, swim $35, ties $25, socks $5, scarves $45, hats $25, belts $30, and underwear $12. Gorgeous lingerie and more at Morgan Lane

By: Gabriella Rose

Set up: The Morgan Lane sample sale was a true hit. The sale’s racks were categorized by item. There were a few racks of pajama sets, beach cover ups, bathing suits, shoes, and more. Everything was extremely organized which made it very easy to shop. There were great deals, and the staff was also super sweet.

Merchandise/ pricing: The sale’s prices were as follows: bikini sets and one-pieces $35, jackets $95, fancy tops $50, knits $50, leather pants $80, beach clothing $40-$80, knit clothing $75-$115, and shoes $25. Most of the clothing was high in stock, besides for the bathing suits and shoe selection. (I also thought it was very nice that they were selling the bikini top and bottom as a set.) I also thought that the accessories table was lacking “pizazz…” and it looked fairly messy. Besides for that, the sale was great. There were endless amounts of options, from gorgeous silk pajamas to a night out head-to-toe outfit. This sale is was a hit.

Rate: 9/10 Great clothing, shoes, pajamas, and accessories. Must attend.

Going (sun)ham for the Sunham Sale

By: Eve Orbach

Home goods brand Sunham’s sale is definitely worth checking out if you’re in the market for items to add extra sparkle to your home✨ Brands such as Vera Bradley, Ted Baker, Lacoste, and more are being featured. Prices range from $4–$40, so you are definitely bound to find some great deals. Most of the items fall under $20! Pillowcases, comforters, shams, blankets, pillows, robes, towels and more are featured.

The best deals of the sale include throw blankets for $15, bath robes for $18, and large decorative throw pillows for $6.

The one downside to the sale was that it is pretty disorganized and honestly kind of overwhelming to navigate. The sale kind of resembles a (slightly) less extreme version of what people’s homes in “Hoarders” look like.

There’s a sweet staff, tons of merchandise, and killer deals (seriously, you might get killed by the mess). I give this sale a 7/10

The Rubin Singer Sale is Amazing!

By: Eve Orbach

The Rubin Singer sale has drop-dead gorgeous clothing at drop-dead prices! With discounts of up to 90% off original prices, it made me want to sing(er) at the top of my lungs! Prices are slashed, and then slashed some more! Included in the sale are many straight from the runway pieces. The brand as a whole is amazing—Rubin Singer himself used to design for Oscar de la Renta, so trust me when I say that Singer’s track record is quite impressive.

The highlight are definitely the gowns (which really made me realize how lacking my life is in gown-wearing opportunities). There are also tops, skirts, leather items, pants, and jackets. The items being sold are very unique and have lots of beautiful detail. Styles range from minimalist chic to statement pieces. No matter what your style is, there is definitely something for you here. No joke — today there was both a mother finding a dress for her son’s wedding as well as someone looking for a “casual woodland goddess” vibe.

All items are hung up neatly on hangers and divided by item type. There is a ton of stock, but act fast! The sooner you get here the sooner you can get your hands on the beautiful pieces.

All sales are final. Crash and credit card are accepted.

The Anthom Sale was Plain 👎

Anthom is offering discounts of up to 80%, but unless if overpriced and underwhelming sales are your thing—skip this one. While the discounts originally seemed promising, a lot of the items are well over $150+. There are, however, a few good deals. This sale features clothes from Anthom, along with other brands that include dim sum, Yune Ho, and H of S.

All types of women’s clothing is being sold, along with accessories such as headbands, jewelry, and shoes. Everything is displayed neatly on hangers and separated by brand. The space is very minimalist chic and everyone working the sale is helpful.

The sizing definitely stays on the smaller size. Some of the items aren’t even sized at all (um, what?).

Ladies, please spare yourself the trip to this one. High priced items + bad sizing= one bad sale. I give this a 3/10 for the exactly 3 items I found reasonably priced.

Morgane Le Fay is MLF for Short

morgane le fay sample salemorgane le fay sample sale 2020

The Morgane Le Fay sample sale happened in the typical style for the brand. The sample sale took place in the retail store downtown. The dresses and items are discounted, but the sale could barely be referred to as affordable since items still cost a good few hundred dollars per item.

Black, grey, white, navy and blush are the only colors you will find in that store. Feathers, silks, cottons, chiffon dresses, skirts and tops. Pieces were extremely classy and chic, sophisticated and high class. Prices were slashed aggressively but I would have shopped if there was a selection for under $200… there wasn’t. After all, this is no CHANEL.

If you are in the downtown area, stop by the Morgane Le Fay sample sale. You just might find the timeless classic heirloom your granddaughter will want to snatch someday.

Notte a lot at Otte

By: Eve Orbach

In the wise words of our follower @actuallychic “Don’t go it’s awful. Expensive and almost no inventory. Lame attempt at getting customers in the store to sell their regular priced items.” Stock at the Otte sample sale includes pieces from brands such as Acne Studios, R13, Golden Goose, Aviator Nation, Mother, and more. Discounts ranged from 60% to 85%. There are also LOTS of non-sale items, which is why I am totally buying @actuallychic’s killer conspiracy theory.

There are tops, dresses, winter coats, shoes, denim, perfumes, jewelry, and more. Clothing is neatly organized by item type. The sizing definitely stayed on the smaller side, and I literally got there the minute the sale opened. (Eek.) The space is cheery and cute and definitely my favorite part of the whole shabang.

The prices are WAY too high for Otte to call this a sample sale. Most of the items are well over the $200 range, and are either too expensive or just plain farty.

For the love of all things that are good in this world, spare yourself. This sale is a massive waste of time. Cash, credit cards and Apple Pay accepted. All sales are final. I give this one a 2/10.

(Marco) POLOGEORGIS

By: Eve Orbach

The Pologeorgis sale has the most stunning furs at (slightly) less stunning prices. Apparently these are the best deals possible for this particular brand, but the discounts weren’t that exciting. However, the merchandise was so gorgeous that I was a little too busy ogling at everything to fully fully care. Prices varied greatly by item. A good amount fell along the $1,00 mark. While this is obviously not inexpensive by any means, furs are investments, people! These stunning coats are going to be the types of things your descendants fight over from your will.

There are lots of styles ranging from bright, peppy pastel colored coats to the more classic neutrals. Their sizing ranges from a 0-16! (Keep up the good work, Pologeorgis. We thank you for your service.)

Each item is displayed neatly on racks. Coats are the featured item of the sale, but vests, hats, scarves, gloves, and slippers are also available. Everyone working the sale was as nice as their items (which is saying a lot).

There are absolutely no lines to get in, which after waiting in line last week for almost an hour to get into a sale, was more than appreciated. In order to get in, you need to schedule an appointment, so contact one of the lovely ladies at sales@pologeorgis.com if you are interested.

Cash and card accepted. All sales are final. No children or strollers allowed in the sale.

I give this sale a 6.5/10! The merchandise was beautiful but definitely pricey. If you are in the market for a new fur, check this one out.
