Today we braved the potential thunderstorms to stop by Clothingline’s MB Sample sale for Men. The sale featured different designers like Prada, Versace, Tom Ford, Dolce & Gabana, Roberto Cavalli, and Tod’s. The largest selection was in shoes. There were four different tables all featuring shoes in different sizes. The shoes was a mix of your classic, standard loafers and dress shoes with some WILD animal print high top sneakers and blue Prada sandals (check out the pictures below, the shoes need to be seen…). Also, if you don’t see one in your size, check below the table as there is more. In the back of the sale there were a mix of different shirts. There were Roberto Cavalli polos and graphic tees and boxes upon boxes of Versace dress shirts all $35.
We rated this sale a 6 out of 10 because while it was empty of people and full of pieces, the prices were still pretty high for all the shoes.

We gave the last Rent the Runway sample sale a pretty dismal review. We think enough people complained (including us) to 260 about the quality of the merchandise. For the record, we still found damaged items, but not nearly as many as the last sale. Additionally, we didn’t spot any dirty clothing. Now, maybe they will listen to us about pricing. This is obviously used clothing. Prices NEED to be lowered more. Also, stop pricing things $49.98. It’s tacky. Make it either $49 or $50.
We rated the Rent the Runway sample sale a 5 out of 10. Where they improved in quality and there was no line out the door, they need to improve in price and use of space. This is one of the few sales that offers almost every size. 260 should run this sale out of their Wooster St. location, because it has a downstairs. Breaking up the sizes on two different floors will help east the chaos in store. Again, we found ourselves climbing over people to look through the racks. The other shoppers were vicious too! We were trying to shop and got so much attitude from the other shoppers. It was helpful to have the sale organized by size. It made our search a little easier. We also like that they have have a wide rage of sizes and styles. So you can really find something for anyone and any occasion. Don’t go out of your way for this. Wait for price reductions, or stop in if you have time or are in the area. Happy shopping!

You spend your life shopping for clothes, shoes, and accessories, but you have to think about getting something to go under all that. Think no further than the Cosabella sample sale, where you can find all your casual undergarment needs. You can shop for bras, underwear, and camisoles. But of course, what’s a sample sale with out shopping for things that everyone can see. At the Cosabell sample sale, you can also find bathing suit, PJ’s, robes, and more.
We rated the Cosabella sample sale an 8 out of 10. Everything was between $5 and $35. There were 7 racks full of clothing and numerous bins. They could have had more variety in sizing, with most items being a medium. On our way out, they gave us a water bottle. How cute is that?! Happy shopping!

We stopped by the Paragon Sports Warehouse sale today. If you’re into sports or working out, then this sale is for you! The sale is held in a giant room in the back of the Paragon store. There were countless members of the Paragon staff working the sale and maintain the order. While the room was PACKED with merchandise, it was mostly for men. The women’s section was relegated the one side and was all packed onto one wall. The wall had tops, sweaters, and sports bras hanging from the top rack and pants, leggings, and shorts on the lower rack. This system was slightly difficult to shop as everyone was crowded around one wall. The sale also featured backpacks, shoes, and various sports equipment – one section was purely for skis and snowboards!
We rated this sale a 5 out of 10 because the price reductions were minimal and most of the brands could be found on sale in a local footlocker. There were a few big ticket items, such as Bogner ski jackets and one (!) mens Canada Goose coat, but the brands were mostly New Balance and Adidas.

As an avid online shopper (well to be honest, both online and in store…it’s possibly a problem), I’m always looking for small items to bump me up for free shipping. I scour the accessories tab on every website looking for the right item. Usually, I stick to the sunglasses and scarves section, but I’ve started to notice some new inventory in other sections. There has been a sudden influx of hair accessories. From headbands and bows to scrunchies and clips, hair accessories are everywhere!
These aren’t just available online as well. I’m seeing so many stores also up their hair accessories selection. They are no longer just a last minute grab while waiting on line to pay. They are getting their own dedicated section in stores like Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, J Crew, and many others. This trend is also being acknowledged in fashion publications like Vogue, Man Repeller, and Who What Wear. They’re officially back!
It feels like it was only yesterday that any type of hair accessory was seen as childish and frumpy. I know I personally used a headband everyday in 7th grade to push back my ill-conceived bangs (whoever convinced me to get bangs with my curly hair was truly out to ruin me). However, the bad reputation of hair accessories was only a trend of the past 5 – 7 years. Hair accessories used to be a way to add a little something extra to any look. The 90’s were all about the scrunchies and the butterfly clips. Everyone had the chunky, fabric hair tie on their wrist waiting to be used, or the glittery plastic clips in their hair.
The early 2000’s saw the rise and fall of the bandana. From Mary Kate and Ashley to J.Lo and Cheetah Girls star, Kiely Williams. You couldn’t turn on the television without seeing a young starlet with a bandana on.
But speaking of television, the queen of hair accessories graced our television screens in September 2007, Blair Waldorf. Blair was the headband queen and set the hair accessory trend that lasted for years. Her headbands were seen as chic and sophisticated. Every young girl who wanted to emulate Blair and her style quickly put on a fabric headband. They weren’t used to hide a bad hair day, but were added to her already perfectly coiffed hair. Her headbands were the cherry on top of the sundae. They tied together her look and the new trend of hair accessories is doing the same thing.
Delicate bows and patterned scrunchies are the perfect way to compliment a simple outfit without adding too much. What’s your verdict?

Clothingline Sample Sales has their own leftover merch from all the sample sales they run. So, they mix it all together and turn it into the one day Clothingline Blowout sale. We arrived at 10:30 a.m., to the sale that opened at 10:00 a.m., and there was a line down the block. Clothingline is known for not having the best sales. What can people really be standing in line for? Well, they had a few key sales (ex. Theory/Helmut Lang) and then priced that leftover merchandise extremely low. We did an Instagram poll, and most of our users agreed that line was a waste of time.
Thank you to one of our users for reporting from the inside.

The Butter shoe sample sale was… okay, I guess. There was debate on how current merchandise was and on pricing. Their samples were from the current season and regular stock was taken from last year. Most of the items in the store were samples and a U.S. women’s size 7. We had the pleasure of meeting a loyal ShopDrop shopper. She told us that prices really could have been lower. She also noticed seeing the same merchandise for 3 years now. So when are the samples and sock from again?
We rated the the Butter shoe sample sale a 5 out of 10. Like we said, mixed feelings. In addition to the mystery merch., we were a bit sketched out on pricing. So we tried on a pair of booties, and the sales associate told us it was $50. At check out the shoes were all of the sudden $75. Um what… How do your workers not know pricing. The check out girl wouldn’t even budge on pricing. We won’t be going back, but you can decide for yourself. Happy shopping!
