Thanks to our awesome users, we caught wind of the secret Christian Louboutin sample sale. As many of you know, invitations to the events are highly coveted and distributed to the few lucky fashionistas.
If you’re stuck without an invitation like the rest of us, don’t despair. We received intel on merchandise and pricing and were happy to learn that it’s nothing special. Current markdowns at Farfetch, Nordstrom and Saks offer the same collection for even lower prices.
At the sale, prices start at $200, but don’t kid yourself – most shoes are in the $300-$400 range, with expensive styles priced as high as $1,000. So Kates were $400 at the sale, and they are $398 at Nordstrom, which is offering 60% off a well stocked selection.
Let’s face it. It ain’t 2008 anymore and the Louboutin fiery sole is just not as hot. We really are nearing the end of the Louboutin craze. As exclusive as the brand tries to make the sample sale, the discounts all over the country and the multiple allowed invites all serve to indicate that the brand performance isn’t as healthy as it once was.
