So here below we will break down the article into three simple points so that if you are extremely busy like the rest of us, you can down the whole article in under one minute. Ironically, the article mentions all the psychological factors but doesn’t mention the bottom line, which is that sample sales offer luxury merchandise at mass-sale prices.

First: Limited Availability Settings

The setting of limited time and availability has this awesome effect on the body. The setting releases dopamine, the same ones that get released when working out, having sex or eating chocolate. No wonder, sample sale shopping could be so much fun!

Second: It’s A Sport

Shopping sample sales effectively and finding that perfect merchandise is a sport. And therefore, those who are good at it, love it. They love it and keep on doing it. They scout out the best sales, stand in line at dawn, and dash for the gold once the doors open.

Third: Offline Engagement

In a world where online purchasing is at higher rates that it ever has before, people crave unique experience that will offer them in-person interactions. One of the few shopping events that allows for such an experience without being replicated online is the sample sale. And so, the hunt for the bargain continues.
