The Kenneth Cole sample sale is taking place in a garage West of 11th Ave on 50th Street. That means a lot of trekking to the edge of Manhattan from any major subway line. The plus side though is that the sale is in a spacious location (which doesn’t really happen in NYC) with plenty of merchandise and great music. Unlike most sales, I actually enjoyed spending time at the sale and browsing through the merchandise. The room is split into half between merchandise for men and women. Solid sizing selection as well both for clothes and shoes.

While we’ve seen the John Paul Ataker sample sale on our app for a few months already, we weren’t sure how it worked until we got over there and checked it out for ourselves. The key to the sale being ongoing is that it takes place at the back of the flagship store on Madison Ave. The racks are lined with current season gowns and separates. All sample sale items are in the back of the store. In terms of variety, all items in the store are meant for evening wear, think charity balls, gala dinners, weddings and parties. There are many designs and sizes. An added bonus is that you the store has a ton of its original fabric. If you like a gown and want to alter it, you can get extra material and work on it later. Items on the sample sale rack start at 50% off and drop all the way down to 90% off retail. The full-price gowns sell for $1,300-$8,000. Sample sale items cost between $150 and $780. If you are in need for an eye-stopping evening gown, stop into John Paul Ataker and get yourself one. As always, photos and prices below. Enjoy!

The Jimmy Choo invitation-only sample sale took place at the Met Pavillion two weeks ago. The enormous showroom was completely filled with a massive stock ranging from women’s shoes, boots, purses, scarves, sunglasses, belts, and even a selection of men’s shoes. Prices started at $50 and ranged to $450, a massive discount considering Jimmy Choo pieces often retail for upwards of $1,000.
Most accessories were one size, but the shoes had a massive range of sizing. There was also a variety in purse sizing as well, so smaller evening purses were much cheaper. Check out the photos to see a small range of all the products!
The sale was exclusive and required a pass to enter, and the line to get in went around the block– even for press. That said, the wait was definitely worth it; the sale was extraordinarily busy, but the products were all amazing and worth browsing through.
The event only lasted for two days– three, if you include VIP early access– so if you’re interested in attending private sales like this one, be sure to RSVP and follow the instructions on the app! They come and go very quickly, and invitations can be hard to come by if you wait too long. The Row is a ready-to-wear fashion line created by the Olsen twins. Their showroom, taking place at the Met Pavilion at 123 W 18th St on the fifth floor, features pieces that can retail for over $1,000.
There’s a huge variety of items to look at; between clothes, outerwear, and shoes, there’s something for every occasion. Sizes vary from 0 to 12 and XS to L, and prices range from $200 to $1,000 for more extravagant pieces. Shoes are in European sizes, so remember to check a conversion chart to find your size.
Some personal favorites of mine were their blazers, silk tops, and trousers. The showroom is enormous, so it’s hard to narrow it down; be sure to check it out for yourself!
This sale is credit card only, and bags are checked, so come prepared!

Pratesi is an Italian luxury linen retailer, with sets selling for upwards of $1,000. Their sample sale, taking place at 317 W 33rd St, is selling old stock– including sheet sets of all sizes, shams, towels, and more– at discounted prices
A disclaimer right off the bat: given the steep prices the pieces retail for, even after they’re discounted they still number in the hundreds of dollar for sets. While some things, such as small mats and hand towels, run cheaper at around $30, expect to find most products selling for at least $390. While that’s a little steep for me, personally, it’s definitely still better than $1,000– so if you’ve got a craving for luxury linens, be sure to check it out.
The sale has a very short run, and ends today; the showroom is enormous, so there’s still plenty of stock to browse through.

The Clever Alice sample sale/pop-up shop is hard to describe in few terms; while their stock isn’t enormous, their variety is. Featuring brands such as Heartloom, Blank NYC, Cigno Nero, Art Love, and many more, the sale is the perfect place to pick up discounted pieces from this past spring and summer, and pieces for winter.
My personal favorite part about the sale were the Heartloom fur coats and vests, which retail for around $150; they’re currently on sale for $50. They’re super soft and come in a wide selection of colors and styles. There are some gorgeous Blank NYC skinny jeans– an essential for any wardrobe– between $40 and $50. Cigno Nero jackets are available in a huge array of colors, both leather and suede, starting at $120. There’s also pieces from Art Love, Sweewë, and Porto, to give you an idea of just how many options there are.
Most of the pieces are winter outerwear, though you’ll find some lighter things like Heartloom dresses priced at $35 and sheer Inizio tops priced at just $22. Sizing varies by brand; Cigno Nero has sizes ranging from small to large, while Heartloom tends to be extra small and small. There’s such a wide selection of brands to choose from that you’re sure to find something to like– and at a great discount too!
Ippolita is a high-end jewelry retailer, with pieces oftentimes selling for upwards of $2,000. Their sample sale, taking place at 317 West 33rd St, features pieces from their gold, silver, and rosé collections starting at 60% off off retail.
There’s a huge array of necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings to choose from, as well as a smaller men’s collection. Ippolita is known for their statement pieces; expect rings with prominent jewels, colorful pendants, and bold statement earrings. Though steeply discounted, their prices are still in the several hundreds of dollars, with some pieces pushing $1,000.
There are some more affordable pieces that are subtle yet elegant, and would make perfect gifts, such as thin, dainty bracelets selling for around $300. The showroom is enormous; between the three collections, the variety of jewelry types, and the men’s collection, there’s definitely something for everyone.

Guilty for spending hours on hours scrolling through the Gilt app? Me too. Guilty for waiting for a sale to start even if it means after midnight and purchasing high end spa offers for your girlfriends and wine tours in the Hamptons for your other half you plan on venturing off with? Same! Gilt, I cannot get enough of your super exclusive, high end, chic sales and countdowns. Guilty and charged right on my credit card, I’m trained, soldier status, for the GILT olympics a.k.a. when you drop an item in the Gilt shopping cart and its reserved for only 10 mins but you already have the game plan down pact and consider nothing an impulse purchase but a strategic game plan on how to confirm your order within 8 mins, giving yourself leeway to choose the appropriate shipping options. Now thats what you call a trusted and credited gal to write here and tell you, this sale is definitely the one you want to be at.
The Gilt sample sale event located at, Industry City, 233 37th Street, Factory Floor, Brooklyn, New York started off with a BANG tonight, making the most out of their sales, it wasn’t just a sale it was a night to remember. They had it all, a convenient check in center for your bags, DJ mixing filling the atmosphere with great music, a station to get your hair done, a wine bar, coconut water refreshers, nutrition bars, and even signature garment bags to dump extremely worthy items into . Tonight, Friday September 15th, the sale took place from 6:30pm-10pm and tomorrow Saturday September 16th, the sale starts at 10am and ends at 6:30pm. I honestly have never seen designer items drop as low as it was marked like this in my entire life. Entire actual life. I mean I’ve seen how low Gilt can go on the limbo stick, when it comes to steeping down a price, but I mean Gilt gets even more flexible at their home.
Starting off with their bags, I think thats what we all hail Gilt for, the options were arrayed on 3 round tables, but it wasn’t the biggest deal. Some Kate Spade handbags, LongChamp totes, Edie Parker clutches, and actually there was a really cute winter grey Proenza Schouler mini purse that I did love with a cute top handle but prices weren’t too crazy. However, the shoes were definitely the affair of the night. From Stuart Weitzman,Christian Louboutin, Guiseppe Zanotti, Diane Von Furstenberg, Alexandre Birman (Below, I snapped the price tag for these red python skin tie-me up’s, originally retailing for $1,680.00 and now $505.00), Schutz, the list goes on and the names were huge. Biggest selection had to be Stuart Weitzman and to give you a hint on the sale, I’m talking from $445- to $125. I took home a pair of Stuart Weitzman for $89, originally $445. Shoe sizes ranged from 5-11 for women and men’s 6.5-11.
You’ll see the longest racks of clothes, longer than the average Nordstrom warehouse sale rack from sizes XS-XL for both women and men. You for sure won’t be able to find the same garment in a different size, the clothing is pretty much a lottery, but its all about luck at these sales anyways! Nevertheless, what I did get my hands on were a pair of 7 For All of Mankind jeans, and even though the denim was the smallest rack in the warehouse, I did find really cute styles and the sizes did vary, which is a good thing! Outerwear and couture dresses neighbored the denim rack and as far as the men’s clothes, lots of button downs, huge selection of outwear, dress pants, jeans, shorts, huge selection. Mens shoes? That was the most organized and neat section of all! HAHA!
Any small details? There was a home section, a kids section and luggage section with personal monogramming available for the leather goods. The dressing rooms to try on were spacious enough to get the job done. The cashier section and lines were really seamless, fast and easy. Side note, they do take away the garment bag and give you huge white shopping bags, but at this point who cares after this great shopping party. I would love to thank Gilt for hosting this great event, and I can’t begin to think what’s being restocked or what new options they are putting out on Saturday. I’m super excited for you all to get your hands on the gorgeous shoes!! I saw women even go home with classic Prada shoes!! Happy Shopping to all!
