The Clever Alice sample sale/pop-up shop is hard to describe in few terms; while their stock isn’t enormous, their variety is. Featuring brands such as Heartloom, Blank NYC, Cigno Nero, Art Love, and many more, the sale is the perfect place to pick up discounted pieces from this past spring and summer, and pieces for winter.
My personal favorite part about the sale were the Heartloom fur coats and vests, which retail for around $150; they’re currently on sale for $50. They’re super soft and come in a wide selection of colors and styles. There are some gorgeous Blank NYC skinny jeans– an essential for any wardrobe– between $40 and $50. Cigno Nero jackets are available in a huge array of colors, both leather and suede, starting at $120. There’s also pieces from Art Love, Sweewë, and Porto, to give you an idea of just how many options there are.
Most of the pieces are winter outerwear, though you’ll find some lighter things like Heartloom dresses priced at $35 and sheer Inizio tops priced at just $22. Sizing varies by brand; Cigno Nero has sizes ranging from small to large, while Heartloom tends to be extra small and small. There’s such a wide selection of brands to choose from that you’re sure to find something to like– and at a great discount too!
Ippolita is a high-end jewelry retailer, with pieces oftentimes selling for upwards of $2,000. Their sample sale, taking place at 317 West 33rd St, features pieces from their gold, silver, and rosé collections starting at 60% off off retail.
There’s a huge array of necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings to choose from, as well as a smaller men’s collection. Ippolita is known for their statement pieces; expect rings with prominent jewels, colorful pendants, and bold statement earrings. Though steeply discounted, their prices are still in the several hundreds of dollars, with some pieces pushing $1,000.
There are some more affordable pieces that are subtle yet elegant, and would make perfect gifts, such as thin, dainty bracelets selling for around $300. The showroom is enormous; between the three collections, the variety of jewelry types, and the men’s collection, there’s definitely something for everyone.

Guilty for spending hours on hours scrolling through the Gilt app? Me too. Guilty for waiting for a sale to start even if it means after midnight and purchasing high end spa offers for your girlfriends and wine tours in the Hamptons for your other half you plan on venturing off with? Same! Gilt, I cannot get enough of your super exclusive, high end, chic sales and countdowns. Guilty and charged right on my credit card, I’m trained, soldier status, for the GILT olympics a.k.a. when you drop an item in the Gilt shopping cart and its reserved for only 10 mins but you already have the game plan down pact and consider nothing an impulse purchase but a strategic game plan on how to confirm your order within 8 mins, giving yourself leeway to choose the appropriate shipping options. Now thats what you call a trusted and credited gal to write here and tell you, this sale is definitely the one you want to be at.
The Gilt sample sale event located at, Industry City, 233 37th Street, Factory Floor, Brooklyn, New York started off with a BANG tonight, making the most out of their sales, it wasn’t just a sale it was a night to remember. They had it all, a convenient check in center for your bags, DJ mixing filling the atmosphere with great music, a station to get your hair done, a wine bar, coconut water refreshers, nutrition bars, and even signature garment bags to dump extremely worthy items into . Tonight, Friday September 15th, the sale took place from 6:30pm-10pm and tomorrow Saturday September 16th, the sale starts at 10am and ends at 6:30pm. I honestly have never seen designer items drop as low as it was marked like this in my entire life. Entire actual life. I mean I’ve seen how low Gilt can go on the limbo stick, when it comes to steeping down a price, but I mean Gilt gets even more flexible at their home.
Starting off with their bags, I think thats what we all hail Gilt for, the options were arrayed on 3 round tables, but it wasn’t the biggest deal. Some Kate Spade handbags, LongChamp totes, Edie Parker clutches, and actually there was a really cute winter grey Proenza Schouler mini purse that I did love with a cute top handle but prices weren’t too crazy. However, the shoes were definitely the affair of the night. From Stuart Weitzman,Christian Louboutin, Guiseppe Zanotti, Diane Von Furstenberg, Alexandre Birman (Below, I snapped the price tag for these red python skin tie-me up’s, originally retailing for $1,680.00 and now $505.00), Schutz, the list goes on and the names were huge. Biggest selection had to be Stuart Weitzman and to give you a hint on the sale, I’m talking from $445- to $125. I took home a pair of Stuart Weitzman for $89, originally $445. Shoe sizes ranged from 5-11 for women and men’s 6.5-11.
You’ll see the longest racks of clothes, longer than the average Nordstrom warehouse sale rack from sizes XS-XL for both women and men. You for sure won’t be able to find the same garment in a different size, the clothing is pretty much a lottery, but its all about luck at these sales anyways! Nevertheless, what I did get my hands on were a pair of 7 For All of Mankind jeans, and even though the denim was the smallest rack in the warehouse, I did find really cute styles and the sizes did vary, which is a good thing! Outerwear and couture dresses neighbored the denim rack and as far as the men’s clothes, lots of button downs, huge selection of outwear, dress pants, jeans, shorts, huge selection. Mens shoes? That was the most organized and neat section of all! HAHA!
Any small details? There was a home section, a kids section and luggage section with personal monogramming available for the leather goods. The dressing rooms to try on were spacious enough to get the job done. The cashier section and lines were really seamless, fast and easy. Side note, they do take away the garment bag and give you huge white shopping bags, but at this point who cares after this great shopping party. I would love to thank Gilt for hosting this great event, and I can’t begin to think what’s being restocked or what new options they are putting out on Saturday. I’m super excited for you all to get your hands on the gorgeous shoes!! I saw women even go home with classic Prada shoes!! Happy Shopping to all!

I’m not sure if the summer season and the sample sale gods are friends or they’re on the love/hate battlefield, but I’m having a huge dilemma. That is? I don’t have enough weekends left to wear these color block pieces I’m obsessing over at the JADE Swim Sample sale, located at the Chelsea Market (15th street and 9th ave). Starting today, Wednesday August 30th (10:30AM—7:00PM) — Sunday September 3rd 2017 (10:30AM-5:00PM) I suggest you walk over there if possible while reading, its a promised good sale, guaranteed and the atmosphere is so fun! Chelsea Market is the ultimate playground to shop in!
Lets start with our shopper PQQ- price, quality and quantity. The price list, super straight forward. Separate pieces are $29 and $59 for a one piece. If we were to compare retail prices? Their one-side Apex swimsuit’s retail price dives into the deep side of the sea, at $198, but now? $59! All yours! The Micro one-piece retails for $220 and the Chain Reaction V Neck one-piece, $150. Now, $59 for all! Also, the separate pieces ( I suggest mix & match) range in retail price from $75-110, and now selling out at this sample sale for? $29 !!! Insanity. I could not be more happy writing this to all of our shoppers!
Ultimate steal, right? I cannot wait for you to have first dibs. Even though its preferred not to try on the swim, there are dressing rooms in the back and I suggest putting it over undergarments to make sure you’re getting your right size! There is plenty in stock for all sizes, the white suits are seemingly running low, however every other color is in attendance. Also, the quality is undeniably beautiful, I mean we all know JADE swimwear as one of the hottest fashion competitors in the industry rated highly by InStyle Magazine. Trust us, or trust that toned gut you’ve been working out all summer, this sale is amazing!
Sizes run from Extra Small, Small, Medium & Large but it did look like they’re made smaller than average. The color palette that you’ll see is beyond perfection. The ocean blue, the strawberry red, the sand tan. (yes I’m making these names up, but i promise you’ll envision this exact color from this fun description) Then you have your super cool, “This is me not trying, I’m an natural” collection giving you LIFE with our favorite core colors, matte black, bright white and a really moss olive that if you ever get stranded on an island, you’ll be so in-tune with the color of nature.
What I love most are the styles, the sharp cuts that make an edgy yet curvy look under the sun. I know, groundbreaking!

One of the most exciting sales yet! The Shoe Box has collaborated with 260 5th ave, the hub of all sample sales, tempting us to tower stack our closet shelves with even more shoes. The sale offers women sizes ranging from 5-11, keep in mind that not all of the sizes have the same options, however there were enough styles/trendy seasonal options to go around. *Oprah’s voice* “You get a pair! You get a pair!” The crowd goes wild*
I must mention SCHUTZ (average retail at $170 per pump) leading the sale and bringing the real heat to a summers end! As soon as I walked in, I routinely snap pictures of any shoe that catches my eye, and after I make another round looking for all my favorite designers. FYI, SCHUTZ had the largest selection available and shined in all the spotlight:
For more of my favorite finds, take a look at all of the shoe candy below: Designers to lookout for: The ShoeBox, of course! Rebecca Minkoff (avg. retail price $130 a pair), Loeffler Randall (avg. retail price $250 and above), Daya by Zendaya, Vince Camuto, and new fresh designers in the mix.
The Solar Eclipse (August 21, 2017) did have a few of us squinty eyed huh? A visit to Showroom Seven had myself as well as a few ShopDroppers doing the same! Up to the 7th floor, walking into a maze of showrooms, mini offices huddled in centerfield, fashion archive bookshelves, racks and tables; stacked with clothing, jewelry, bags, belt and shoes. Not forgetting, the bloggers (thats me), ShopDrop team (thats us!) mixed in all the fun. What was my perspective you might ask? Hmm, with a paintbrush in hand,* “what was I really looking at?” A stellar fashion house that is! In its truest art form, “organized chaos,” INDEED! Cheers to another fun sample sale adventure because isn’t that what we all are working to spend our money on, its no secret. 😉
There is a ShopDropApp special event sample sale today at Showroom Seven located at (501 10th ave) and before scrolling down for an exclusive sneak peak, I must say the price range is a little obscure. Putting the “responsible spending” shopping advice aside, what I loved most about this sample sale is you’re guaranteed a good buy with this melting pot of designers.
Did I mention, free champagne, 5% off if you’re coming on behalf of ShopDrop, lets turn it up a notch right before NYFW, shall we? Thank you Showroom Seven for opening your doors to us on this special occasion. H.A.S.H.T.A.G : #eclipse #OnceInASolarEclipseSale. So here it goes, pretty pink suede, cool corduroy, heavy leather, light down feather jackets. All of these pieces decorated the racks and I was immediately convinced that I wasn’t prepared for Fall as I am now, after this sale! Take a peak at my favorite finds!
