Well, it happened. As I sit here writing this, I am still in disbelief that not one, but two pairs of Jimmy Choos are in my closet; not the banged up stuff thats unfortunately a risk for high end brand sales, either, but shoes that are practically in mint condition.
I was fortunate enough to score a VIP press pass (I love my job!), so on a cold Wednesday morning, I was huddled in line outside of the sale, with the other “VIPs”, ready to score some sweet kicks.
To be honest, its a mixed bag when it comes to name brand sample sales; they tend to be too crowded, its only basic pieces, or the prices are still astronomically high. Yet, the Jimmy Choo sale was well stocked, the prices are amazing, and the space is huge.
There was also a great selection of purses clutches. It seemed like that had enough boots for an army as well, but the table was too cluttered to get a good enough look.
All in all, its a sale that’s definitely worth checking out, especially if you love labels. The shoes are gorgeous, and the prices are low enough for a few good splurges; everything at this sale is worth the splurge. Check it out- todays the last day!

The Row is a ready-to-wear fashion line created by the Olsen twins. Their showroom, taking place at the Met Pavilion at 123 W 18th St on the fifth floor, features pieces that can retail for over $1,000.
There’s a huge variety of items to look at; between clothes, outerwear, and shoes, there’s something for every occasion. Sizes vary from 0 to 12 and XS to L, and prices range from $200 to $1,000 for more extravagant pieces. Shoes are in European sizes, so remember to check a conversion chart to find your size.
Some personal favorites of mine were their blazers, silk tops, and trousers. The showroom is enormous, so it’s hard to narrow it down; be sure to check it out for yourself!
This sale is credit card only, and bags are checked, so come prepared!

I woke up today, looking for a sample sale, so I immediately logged onto my ShopDrop app. I noticed the Oscar de la Renta sale right away, but kept my expectations low, seeming too good to be true. There won’t be any stock left, I told myself on the way over, and that’s if you can wait out the long line that has to be there.
Well, dear shoppers, I stand corrected. The Oscar de la Renta sale had an extensive stock of everything, without the crowds of people you typically have to push through when a bigger brand holds a sample sale. Coats, furs, menswear, womenswear, children’s wear; the sale even had a home goods section!
Prices were in the $100+ range, but the pieces on sale were so true to the artistry of Mr. De la Renta, that plenty of stock is definitely worth the splurge.
Here is what you could find in the Etienne Aigner sample sale in SoHo this week! We had our ShopDrop early access event last night and it was simply awesome!
Most items start at $250 at retail and go all the way up to $995! Sizes for clothes ranged from 0 to 14, a ton of overstock, beautiful wool-cashmere coats, blazers and sweaters. Handbags were from $15 to $120 and ranged in color, style and size. All shoes and boots were gorgeous but size 6. Everything is made in Italy and is absolutely beautiful. At the sale, the highest price items were $120 for exquisite leather bags. I personally bought my entire winter wardrobe, and if there is one sample sale you have to hit up this Summer, you bet it is Etienne Aigner. As always pics and prices below. You can still hit up the sale now.

It’s Tuesday and 260 sample sale opens its SoHo doors to shoppers interested in buying items from The Line at 70% off retail prices. The racks are lined with many imaginable goods – this one is definitely overstock. There are few Summer items, and most of the items are for Fall and Winter. Sweaters, jackets, long jackets, jeans, skirts, denim shirts, bags and shoes.
Prices were 70% below retail but quite a few items in the 120 price range. Images of goodies below. Enjoy!
It’s a Monday in October, which means it is prime time to check out the Reiss London sample sale taking place over on 260 Fifth Ave. The place is crowded but not overcrowded, which is good, because standing outside in the rain would have been absolutely brutal. The shelves are lined 2/3 with women’s items, and 1/3 with mens. There is a rack of jumpsuits, three racks of jackets and coats, two of dresses, two of skirts and two of tops. Sizes range from small to large.
Original price tags are on the clothes, so you know exactly what your discount is when heading to check out. A number of pieces that stood out in my mind: a white and black long jacket in Kate Middleton style (originally $540, here $275), a greyish-turquiose dress that was $420 and is now $120. There were also a few bags and belts on the side. Overall, the sale was great and I definitely recommend you check it out. As always, pricing and images below. Enjoy!

Pratesi is an Italian luxury linen retailer, with sets selling for upwards of $1,000. Their sample sale, taking place at 317 W 33rd St, is selling old stock– including sheet sets of all sizes, shams, towels, and more– at discounted prices
A disclaimer right off the bat: given the steep prices the pieces retail for, even after they’re discounted they still number in the hundreds of dollar for sets. While some things, such as small mats and hand towels, run cheaper at around $30, expect to find most products selling for at least $390. While that’s a little steep for me, personally, it’s definitely still better than $1,000– so if you’ve got a craving for luxury linens, be sure to check it out.
The sale has a very short run, and ends today; the showroom is enormous, so there’s still plenty of stock to browse through.
