Reiss London is having it’s Spring sample sale and the doors open this morning. There is a generous selection of items for both men and women and prices are under $200 for most items. Women could shop shoes, dresses, tops, bottoms and bags. Men – jackets, shoes, square pockets and blazers. Nice selection of coats and shearling fur too.
We were so pleasantly surprised at the Ivy Kirzhner sample sale, where all shoes were $30 and all boots $50. This is a brand that sells them for oner $600 typically. At the last sample sale, shoes were still in the $200 range. Here’s what you need to know: all the $30 $50 items are samples, which means they are in size 7. If you are that size – say hello to paradise. If you are a different size, then they have regular collection items that are still over 80% off. All prices and photos below. The sale just started so you have plenty to check out.

Clothingline combined the Cashmere and Snowman sample sales into one and we checked them out on the first day! While items were still pricey – with cashmere sweaters between $60 and $90, the selection of sizes was quite broad (XS-L) and so was the variety. The Snowman coats were all 50% off retail prices, which left them in the $240-$260 range. We are crossing our fingers for markdowns as the sale progresses.
If you want to hit it up, you have till Thursday. Photos with prices below. Enjoy!

The Karen Miller brand is having it’s second sample sale this year at Clothingline. While I’m not the biggest fan of the brand, I have to admit that prices are quite low. Everything except for the leather items is under $50. There are lots of options for larger sizes (6-12) in clothes and quite a few shoe options as well. The sample sale has clothes for women only – and includes dresses, jackets, tops, cardigans, skirts and pants. A lot of the merchandise is dirty or damaged, so make sure to double check the items before checking out. If you like the British brand, then you still have two days to shop at the sale.
We have good news and bad news. The good news is that the Herve Leger sample sale for women at 260 has the most phenomenal items at crazy discounts. Many items are over 90% off. The bad news is that items are still quite pricey. So here is the rundown: most items are size small, but the selection of dresses is enormous. Embellished and non-embellished band-aid dresses, long and short, beautiful skirts, tops and jackets. No shoes, fragrances or handbags. Collections span current seasons to past. Every item is over $100 except for the bathing suits, which are an amazing $40 (down from $790!!!). The sale opens to the public today so make sure to snag some goodies while they last.

If you’re brave enough to weather the cold, check out the Bonobos sample sale taking place at 260. The racks are lined with shirts, jackets, and pants. Buckets are filled with khaki shorts, and there are trays of belts, pocket squares and ties. The prices are great – even for a first day. Shirts cost $29, pants cost $49 and outerwear costs $99. This is compared to the $500+ retail price that these items usually sell at. If you’re a guy or have someone special to shop for, head out to the Bonobos sample sale while you still can. The heavy rain this morning didn’t stop us from exploring the Karen Millen sale at Clothingline. We entered the showroom to find racks upon racks filled with dresses, skirts, pants and tops from the Karen Millen brand. To give you some background, Karen Millen is originally from Britain, and it was created to launch items for fashionable and confident professional women. Today, the brand sells in over 65 countries and has many fans worldwide.
Karen Millen items retail for $350-$600 on their site. So if you like their dresses, the sample sale is a must go. All dresses there were on sale for $75, tops for $25 or $50, depending on the style. Do you get it? For 4 dresses at the sample sale, you can buy one at retail.
Val chose three outfits of different styles and we took photos in each one that are on this post. Our photographer, Ghila Krajzman, made sure to capture the feel of the sale in addition to the looks. In addition to the clothes, there was a wide selection of beautiful shoes, booties and sandals – all for $50. I saw some adorable straw hats ($20), clutches ($25), bags ($50) and scarves ($65).
If you have a moment to hop over to the garment district, head over. You won’t regret it. See our images of Val and prices below – as always, follow us on Instagram and let us know what YOU think!

My first time using the ShopDrop app, I wanted to find a Sample sale that was exclusive and elite, one I could only have access to via the app. So, I decided to check out the J Mendel Sample Sale! You had to register beforehand the day and time you wanted to come, which I loved because sample sales can be very hectic so having an organized system really impressed me.
I loved how much information that app gave me about how to register, the season they were selling, and the discount amount! It made it easier for me to shop and plan beforehand.
When I arrived, I first checked in, they had people in the front making sure everyone was registered. I registered myself and a plus one, which was great because who likes shopping alone? They then had a friendly coat check person who took my coat & bag but let me keep my camera. The next thing I saw were racks full of faux fur shawls, racks full of immaculate dresses, and a corner full of pristine shoes with a sign overhead that read “All $100.” I felt like I walked into my dream walk in closet, one owned by a Kardashian. All the racks were organized by size, making shopping easier. I had to go up a dress size from my usual size, so I would recommend the same for anyone buying designer dresses. I immediately fell in love with every dress I tried on, feeling nothing less than a princess. The showroom provided people to help us like an actual retail store, which was very helpful. They set a spot in the fitting room for me, zipped me in all the dresses, gave me practical advice and assisted me towards other dresses I might have overlooked. The staff there was amazing and extremely helpful. Since there was a registration beforehand, the atmosphere wasn’t at all chaotic. It was very laid back and sophisticated. I felt I like I was in the actual retail store, as I saw stylist work privately with clients and other associates assisting others with purchases, I felt totally comfortably and at ease shopping!
Overall, I had an amazing experience at the J Mendel Sample Sale. If you have an event coming up and you need to buy an extravagant dress, defiantly check out a sample sale first! The design and quality of the clothing was incredible compared to the price it was reduced to. I would even recommend getting your wedding dress at a sample sale if you’re on a budget! I tried on a beautiful couture wedding gown that was 60% off the original price!!! I definitely will be using the ShopDrop app for all my future shopping endeavors!
